I can't even tell you how much fun I had at Tie The Knot this year. Mind blown. Not only did these guys do epic last year, their inaugural year of the show, but they kicked it up 10x this year. Everything from list of vendors, advertising, ticket sales, organization & more was FABULOUS. I must say I also attempted to kick it up 5 notches myself.

I met so many amazing, excited brides and I'm just as excited. I've been booking consults like crazy and can't wait to chat about all of the little details (that's kind of my thing.) Even from just talking at the show for a few minutes, I know a lot of the couples I met were to the T of Nicole Amanda sentimental couples.

My super awesome friends at MDRN Photobooth Co. were also there this year too and the Photo Booth looked fab as usual ;) Can't wait for a super busy 2 years for both of us from the looks of it!

Attention: Wedding Photographer Behind on Blogging

Oh boy, things just got crazy (or maybe the opposite) after I finished blogging all of my autumn weddings and engagement sessions. Maybe my creative juices had run out. I so admire Katelyn for her religious blogging, even on personal days. I still have the mind set of no one else wanting to know what I did that week! LOL

Although I haven't been photographing too much lately, winter comes a season of editing, album design, and consultations. As well, I am preparing for my second appearance at the Tie The Knot bridal show (their new website will be up soon, EEK!!) that will be again taking place at the Museum of Nature in February! So excited! Planning some big pretty booth things, and Friday will be another big hit to my credit card for those purposes.

YIKES! Canvases, sample albums, sentimental HHBoogie boxes! So excited yet nervous at the same time! Can't wait to bring this new product into the lineup.

The last couple of weeks have been time spent working the with amazing Ottawa photo booth company, MDRN Photobooth Co. (seriously, if you're looking for a photo booth, what better than custom props!), my last few shifts at my other job (I AM OFFICIALLY FULL TIME PHOTO NOW!!), dates with the boy, and lots of product and album design. Speaking of new websites, that's what I'm working on right now as well. The amazing Julie Story is helping me find the perfect look of my sentimental, laid back and detail oriented brides :) Here's a tiny tiny sneak peek. Cannot wait for launch day! My Tie The Knot booth is starting to look cohesive ;)

Tie The Knot Ottawa

One week ago yesterday, I attended (and exhibited) and the best wedding show in existence. For it's inaugural year, Tie The Knot Ottawa blew everyone's minds. Since it's invention, it was designed to be "that different wedding show" meant for more urban in opposite from all of those "luxury" wedding shows.

It was the perfect size because there were enough vendors to choose from, but not too many of each. Other large shows can be compared to speed dating for brides, but with Tie The Knot, brides had a chance to have a small chat with any vendor they wanted.

Even within the same category, each vendor was not even comparable. They did the best job of not only selecting each vendor, but separating us within the room. It was such a different venue location which helped in making the show so unique.

I met so many awesome bride-to-be's and I am so honoured by the number of consultations I have to meet them again. I can't wait to jump on board and get fully emerged in the 2014 wedding scene.

Thank you so much to my amazing boyfriend who has helped and supported me every step of the way. I couldn't have done it without you. Thanks to everyone who has supported me and liked my work.

My lovely booth with the most wonderful boyfriend ever.

I am already so anxious to get the paperwork to do the show again next year. If it was so great in it's first year, I can't even imagine what they can do in two. They are also pondering branching out to Kingston, Toronto and Montreal. I have complete faith in Earleen and Cheryl to blow my mind again next year. Thanks for making it so easy to book clients. This will be my breakout year, and you guys will play a huge part in it.
