trash the dress | miranda + jessica

6/22/2013

Miranda and I had been e-mailing back and forth trying to schedule a trash the dress session for a little while now. Approaching her second wedding anniversary  she thought it was about time. As an awesome new addition to the shoot, she decided to invite her sister, Jessica, along for some fun in her prom dress!

The three of us met at Britannia Beach on a surprisingly chilly day. These two were warriors and braved the cold water to get some pretty wicked shots. Another one of the firsts on my list, thanks for so much fun and making my first trash the dress session an amazing experience! I am now totally stoked to do more!

cake smash | charlisse turns one!

Tuesday was just too wonderful for photography. I did a second session in the afternoon, yet again another first for me. Meet Charlisse. She helped me accomplish the goal of my first cake smash session - she did a wonderful job at it too.

Of course, with all too good to be true, mommy and daddy said this was the first time ever that she decided to eat delicately and clean. We had to fix this. We all poked and provoked actions she might do to destruct this cake....we got her going eventually!

She got a little bit bored and started taking interest in other things...

Most of the time, kids just want to play and really do not want to sit down to be photographed. That's okay - because that's what I like to work with! But with Mr. Max here, I learned three things that work for him.....bubbles, swinging and hide and seek! Connie, Ryan, Max and I met at the Arboretum of the Experimental Farm to get what I would definitely call more action shots than portraits.

Yesterday, I spent the afternoon with my friend Tina, her husband, Curtis, and their beautiful daughter, Emily. This little girl is the most smiley, people-oriented baby that I have ever met - but she decided that she was going to be difficult to photograph. It took a lot of coercing from whoever was not in front of the camera to get this cutie to smile. Check them out!
