I have been playing with my new website for the last little while. Thanks to Laura Kelly for showing me the coolest thing in existence, SHOWIT. Oh yeah, and it's buddy, PASS. As simple as that! I don't know for sure that there are the exact photos I'll be using, but I guess that's the point of a sneak peek ;) Hopefully this Cinderella inspired shoot will edit to what all I've hoped that it will be! algonquin college | kuwait campus signing

Last Thursday, I had the honour of photographing the signing of the memorandum of understanding by Kent MacDonald, president of the college, and Mr Hamed Al-Bader. You can find more information on the Algonquin College International students website. There is also a link to the Orient Education Services here. Algonquin College is partnering with Kuwait to build a campus in Kuwait City.

portfolio | architectural preliminary

This is my quick preview for what I hope to shoot for my architectural assignment. This is my dance teacher, Tracy. This is her parents' tiny little farm house in Lanark/Ashton, Ontario. I plan to create a Cinderella vibe, from the beginning of her life. I will accent the house with pumpkins and corn stalks, and pray that dawn is even more pretty when I shoot my final. Inside, I plan to accent the room with a seamstress mannequin holding "Cinderella's dress," also with pumpkins in the room.

portfolio | environmental sneak peek

Just a small peek at my environmental finals shoot at Andrew Haydon Park last night. These aren't the best photos, but I guess that's the point! ;) Much thanks to my model, Miss Pole Fitness Ontario, Jenny Goodwin, my assistants Max and Isabelle, and makeup by Mrs Peach.

I will get my finals up as soon as they are fully edited and portfolio quality! Jenny is beautiful, it's my camera and lighting skills that need a heck of lot of correction. Don't know if I have enough good ones to do a diptych or triptych as planned but we shall see!

So to put it in the most simple words, I am not enthralled with my preliminary shoot at all. The time of day was not what I thought it would be like, our outdoor pole contraption did not work, and I did not have the right equipment I needed. I did not get the right lighting style that I needed, so I went home and did a demo with my boyfriend to submit along with it. These are the most tolerable images I got, so pray that the final goes much better!
